TikTok Profile Picture Downloader

How to download a TikTok profile picture

To download a TikTok profile picture, copy the link of any video or photo post from that account (Share, then Copy link), paste it into TapDownload and tap Save profile picture next to the account name. You get the picture at the full size TikTok keeps, usually 1080 x 1080, instead of the small circle the app shows.

TapDownload is a free website that saves public Snapchat, TikTok and X videos and photos from their link. It is not affiliated with Snap Inc., TikTok or X Corp.

Why a video link and not the username?

TikTok doesn't show its profile pages to visitors who aren't logged in, and TapDownload never logs in. Every public video, though, carries its creator's profile picture at full size. So any video from the account works: their newest, an old one, or a photo post. The same result also lets you save that video without the watermark.

What size is a TikTok profile picture?

TikTok keeps profile pictures as square images, usually 1080 x 1080 pixels; older accounts sometimes have a smaller one. TapDownload saves the largest copy TikTok has, as it is, without cropping or upscaling. In the app it's shown as a small circle, so the saved file shows the corners the circle hides.

TikTok PFP and DP downloader

"PFP" (profile picture) and "DP" (display picture) mean the same thing. This works as a TikTok PFP downloader and a TikTok DP downloader: one tap saves the full picture to your phone or computer. On iPhone it lands in the Files app under Downloads; tap it, then Share and Save Image to put it in Photos.

When it won't work

• The account is private, or you only have a profile link. Use the link of one of their public videos.
• The account has no public videos. Without a public post there's no link to read the picture from.
• It's the default avatar. If the person never set a picture, you get TikTok's grey placeholder.

A profile picture is often a photo of the person. Use it for yourself, and ask before you post it anywhere.
